Parallel
Symposium on Electrochemical Energy Conversion, Chaired by Prof. Lifeng Liu:
Future Materials 2020
Our management is happy to
organize a parallel symposium on Future Materials for
(Photo)Electrochemical Energy Conversion. The symposium would be
held during the conference dates from February 26-28, 2020 at Lisbon, Portugal.
The main aim of the symposium is to bring together like-minded researchers in
the field of energy materials, Optics, 2D materials in a single platform where
the session would be rich with the topics revolving within the title of the
symposium.
Future Materials 2020 main
motto is to provide the attendees with knowledge on the latest trends in
the field of Materials Science and Nanotechnology. Hence, we have gathered
world-renowned researchers from across the globe in a single platform. Being
one of our National Committee Member of the conference Prof. Liu has agreed to
chair the session and bring together and form an interactive symposium. Prof.
Liu is currently the Leader of the Nanomaterials for Energy Storage and
Conversion (NESC) group at INL. His researches focus on the development of new
nanostructured materials and their applications in electrochemical energy
storage and conversion including water splitting, solar fuel production,
lithium-/sodium-ion batteries, and supercapacitors. Prof. Liu has a Ph.D.
degree in Condensed Matter Physics from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and did
his post-doctoral work at Max Planck Institute of Microstructure Physics during
2007-2009. Before joining INL in 2011, Dr. Liu was a staff scientist and group
leader at Max-Planck Institute of Microstructure Physics. He was the recipient
of FCT Investigator Grant 2014, Young Investigator Award 2015 by the Portuguese
Electrochemical Society, and the Scientist Medal 2018 by the International
Association of Advanced Materials (IAAM).
